Award winning drama comes to Chester Little Theatre
Theatre company White Cobra is bringing its latest production to Chester Little Theatre, fresh from scooping four awards at a recent drama festival.
The Father by Florian Zeller and translated by Christopher Hampton was being performed at the week long Easter Festival of plays at the historic Gaiety Theatre on the Isle of Man.
It was named Best Play, and Best Drama with awards to Director Martin Borley-Cox and Actor Ian Spiby, who plays the title role, Andre.
Since its inception in 1950, more than 65 festivals have been staged on the Isle of Man, welcoming visiting companies from across Europe to the Frank Matcham designed theatre in the capital Douglas.
Director Martin Borley-Cox says "It's a great honour to have been chosen as the Best Play, and a tribute to the wonderful writing which tackles a difficult subject sympathetically and with humour"
The Father will be performed at Chester Little Theatre for just one night on Saturday, 18 May. Tickets are now on sale at www.chesterlittletheatre.co.uk
